is a simple-to-use application designed to help you view the content of TLex, tlTerm and tlDatabase files in a comfortable environment, without needing to install specialized software to do so.
The main application looks familiar and does not impose any navigational difficulties. Files can be opened using either the file browser or drag-and-drop support.
You can use a search function when dealing with large amounts of data, show TE fanouts, toggle full screen mode, select the HTML window provider (layout engine), zoom in and out, as well as perform an entry on image search on Google directly from the “Entry” menu.
Other options of tlReader let you preview a selection only, underline hyperlinks, swap windows, go to the next window, as well as switch to a different language for the UI, to name but a few.
tlReader has a good response time and works well, without causing the operating system to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs in the meantime. It runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the overall performance of the computer or interrupt normal user activity.
We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation. All in all, tlReader provides users with a simple solution when it comes to viewing TLex, tlTerm and tlDatabase files in a friendly interface that does not need third-party applications. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, it can be tinkered with by anyone.
